A Look at Luques Restaurant & Bar in San Francisco, California

Charming restaurant with an innovative twist to a traditional breakfast menu We happened upon Luques Bar and Restaurant after using the “Near Me Now” app on TripAdvisor. The restaurant was rated with four stars. Upon arriving, we observed the quaint atmosphere of the interior and we were sold. We found the interior, staff, and the food to be worthy of TripAdvisor’s positive reviews.

Location: The restaurant is located in the Chancellor Hotel near Union Square. It is also located right next door to the famous “Sears” restaurant. It is a little tucked away, so be aware that you could walk right by it and not see it.

Décor: The interior design reflects a charming café. It exudes a warm cozy feel, almost like you are in a French bistro. The music was soft and inviting. The tables and chairs were very comfortable.

Menu: The menu was unique for breakfast. It had a fresh “farm to table” type of appeal. I ordered the omelet with pine nuts and spinach, with a side salad. Yummy! My husband ordered the menu special: Chilaquiles and it too was fabulous!

Chilaquiles – Amazing!

Service: The service was friendly and our waitress was very observant to our needs.

Restrooms: This is an area they absolutely need to improve on and the only reason why I did not give them a full five stars. The restroom (only one available) quite honestly was disgusting. It is located downstairs to the restaurant and is a shared bathroom that didn’t quite lock. It is not maintained and something that they need to address as soon as possible.

Final Thoughts: I would recommend this restaurant because the breakfast was truly wonderful. The food, atmosphere, and the service were all top notch. The management needs to address the restroom issues and it is the only reason it does not receive the fifth star. If you can have your dining experience without having to use the restroom, this is otherwise a top notch experience!

5StarTip🌟: I would recommend eating here for breakfast as their food and atmosphere were fantastic! Order the Chilaquiles!

Luques Restaurant & Bar rates an Always5Star: 🌟🌟🌟🌟
