I am a big fan of the oneworld alliance. I am an American Airlines Advantage Executive Platinum Member and I am able to maintain my status with perks when booking flights with other airlines participating in the One World Alliance program. This has been especially helpful when I have booked with Cathay Pacific Airways for several flights recently. Cathay Pacific is very good about honoring my American Airlines status and offering me upgrades on seats and club lounge access.
