The Hyatt Regency on Capitol Hill has a wonderful lounge and restaurant. It is especially nice and convenient if you are staying at the hotel. I had the opportunity to try the restaurant and the bar and found it to be a real treat! My husband and I happened onto Lalla’s as we were walking around Cannery Row. The outside awning and mod décor caught our eye. Upon entering you realize that this restaurant has amazing unobstructed views of the ocean. We were there for lunch and requested a table next to a window. The food proved to be as good as the views!
Visiting San Juan Capistrano, we came across this quaint little restaurant while strolling the San Juan town area. It appealed to us because of the quaintness and the pleasant outdoor eating area.

The restaurant is located next to the train tracks and train depot station. It is a little tucked away among other cafés in the Los Rios Historic District area.
From the moment you walk into this restaurant you feel that you going to have a very special experience. It is just charming! The restaurant is in a “hobbit” like house that offers a traditional ‘ole English Tea Room feel. The décor and feel of the restaurant is not to be missed. We had a very special meal and one that I hope others will enjoy.
We happened on Marlowe’s while shopping at Denver Pavilions Shopping Center. The outdoor openness looked inviting and, after a quick peek at the menu, we decided to give it a try. There were several pluses to our experience: the drinks, atmosphere, and service were all wonderful. However, there was unfortunately one downside, the food. The items we ordered were not prepared well.

I had heard that within the historic Brown Palace that Ellyngton’s is famous for their brunch. I can understand why after having an amazing dining experience. This is truly special from the plethora of high quality buffet choices to the decadent dessert tables. And of course, the champagne!
