Always5Star Jr. Hyatt Regency Indian Wells Resort and Spa Weekend Getaway

Always5Star Hyatt Regency Indian Wells Resort And Spa Weekend Getaway

Written By: Brittany James aka Always5tar Jr.

Do you have a favorite weekend getaway? Is there that city that has a special hold on your heart and you can’t help but return to? The Palm Springs and Greater Palm Springs area is that place for me! Weather is perfect most of year (the summer is a bit toasty), gorgeous mountain views and an overall fun and relaxing vibe! My love for this beautiful, desert area, led me to spend my birthday in Indian Wells, a beautiful city about 30 minutes from Palm Springs.

Now that I have decided where to go for my birthday weekend it is time to figure out where we will stay. If you are at all familiar with Always5Star than you probably have a few ideas of which hotel we booked. If you guessed Hyatt, you are correct!! Indian Wells has a beautiful Hyatt property called Hyatt Regency Indian Wells Resort & Spa.

🌟5StarTip for your Indian Wells Weekend

Do you have a friend or family member who has Globalist status with Hyatt? One of the benefits of being a Hyatt Globalist is the Guest of Honor program. A Globalist can reserve your stay for you and when you arrive you will receive the Globalist services and benefits! If you still aren’t convinced how this will improve your stay, I have two words for you – room upgrade! Wait until you see the room my husband and I had thanks to my mom aka Always5Star booking our stay with her Globalist status. This is only one of the benefits we enjoyed thanks to the Guest of Honor program! As Globalist she can book friends and family with her status. This also allowed us the benefit of a 4 pm check-out and entrance to the VIP Regency Club Lounge*. Now onto the room…

🌟 Our Villa

You always hear people say, my mom included, that there is no harm in asking for an upgrade when checking into a hotel. Honestly, I have always felt a bit uncomfortable with this however when we checked into the Hyatt Regency Indian Wells Resort & Spa I had more confidence knowing that thanks to the Guest of Honor program an upgrade was likely. I asked the gentlemen at the desk and after he typed a few things into the computer he said: “yes, we have a villa available for you.” Now it took everything in me to not jump up and down with joy! Channeling my inner Always5Star, I kept my cool and expressed my gratitude! I saved the jumping up and down for once I saw our room!

The grounds at the Hyatt Regency Indian Wells Resort & Spa are so serene!

As we excitedly walked to our villa, we’re so fancy…lol, we knew that this Indian Wells weekend was going to be memorable! We opened the doors to our room and our eyes were instantly drawn to the hot tub in the backyard…yes I said hot tub in our backyard…our own personal backyard! We were in total amazement that this whole one bedroom villa was our own! I’ll let the pictures show you how amazing this room was!

Features of the Villa We Loved!

🌟 Flat Screen TV

🌟 Fireplace

🌟 Kitchenette which included dishes, utensils, cups, wine glasses, plates, mini fridge, microwave, and small sink.

🌟 Surround sound system to play music throughout the villa.

🌟 Private backyard which included lounge chairs, umbrella table with chairs, BBQ and hot tub.

These are just some of our favorite items…there are many other features that make this villa truly Always5Star! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Happy couple!!

Apart from the hot tub, another bonus of this room was the butler that was assigned to the section our villa was in! He brought us ice, offered to drive us around the resort and had such a warm personality we felt immediately relaxed and at ease! We didn’t utilize him much but it was nice to know if we needed something we had someone who was just a phone call away!

Side note: Please don’t forget to tip! The employees are working so hard! Let’s show them we care! Here is an Always5Star tipping guide if you are unsure on the amount!

🌟 The Resort

Since we had such a nice room and so little time we wanted to enjoy the room to the max! We didn’t spend much time exploring but what we did see was beautiful!

Some resort features are:

🌟Tennis Court

🌟 Golf Course

🌟 Spa ( wish I could have gone here!)

🌟 Adult Pool w/ Cabanas

🌟 Family pool with a 60-foot spiral water slide! ( There are 7 pools on the property)

🌟 Camp Hyatt – To take care of your children – bye-bye kids!

Plus so many more!!

Here are some photos from around the Hyatt Regency Indian Wells Resort & Spa! You will see how beautiful our Indian Wells weekend was!

🌟 5StarTip – Take a Hike

Once you settle into your stay at the Hyatt Regency Indian Well Resort & Spa, you may find it hard to leave! However, about 25 minutes away is a fantastic hiking area called Aqua Caliente Indian Canyons! It was a place that came up consistently during my research of things to do during our Indian Wells weekend getaway so I knew we had to check it out!

I loved the difference in scenery as we hiked! We started at the Trading Post and took the Palm Canyon Trail to the Victor Trail. It was the perfect hike for us, not too strenuous! We started the hike in an oasis, than hiked through desert landscape to end up back in an oasis! There are also some hikes that have streams and a waterfall!

These are a few lessons we learned that will be helpful for your visit:

🌟 Admission is $9 per adult and $5 per child. For other admission options visit here: Admission/Hours Also, they have a credit card machine but it is a bit moody – when we went it wouldn’t take our card so we had to turn around and find an ATM. Bring cash as a back up!

🌟 Pack water and snacks! You can also pack a lunch and utilize their picnic areas! I wish we would have done this!

🌟 If visiting during winter, wear layers! It may be chilly in the shaded areas!

🌟 Bring sunscreen! There are a few spots with trees but a lot of the hikes have no coverage!

🌟 If you are unsure of which hike to try then start at the Trading Post! They have park rangers there to give suggestions based on your preferences. They also have guided tours that start here and a cute little market!

🌟 Final Thoughts

Whether you are a Southern California resident or visiting from out of state, Indian Wells is a wonderful location for a relaxing, luxurious weekend getaway! We loved the mix of lounging, luxury and hiking during our Indian Wells weekend and I hope you do too! Cheers πŸ₯‚
